Mammoth Technocrete (Precast Division)

Introduction to Precast Concrete Structures

The concept of precast construction includes those buildings where the majority of structural components are standardized and produced in plants in a location away from the building, and then transported to the site for assembly. These components are manufactured by industrial methods based on bunch production in order to build a large number of buildings in a short time at low cost.

The behavior of precast concrete column connection under reversed and cyclic bending combined with axial compression is investigated experimentally. The connection was formed by grouting rod bars extended from one column unit into ducts in the other. Custom-made forms can be used to create panels in the exact sizes and shapes specified by the designer, as well as to introduce reveals, joints, patterns and other detailing to the panel surface. Precast columns can be used with wrought iron, wooden, vinyl and concrete fencing.

This type of construction requires a restructuring of the entire conventional construction process to enable interaction between the design phase and production planning in order to improve and speed up the construction. One of the key premises for achieving that objective is to design buildings with a regular configuration in plan and elevation.

The proximal end of the foundation column includes a column bracket for joining the foundation column to a wooden column comprising the second portion of the two piece column of the present invention. The foundation column of the present invention comprises a precast concrete column. Custom-made forms can be used to create panels in the exact sizes and shapes specified by the designer, as well as to introduce reveals, joints, patterns and other detailing to the panel surface.
