This is the first test of my new DIY CNC mill machine. The base structure is based on a two 100mm steel beams. The table-plate is taken from a Sieg X-3 mill. The X and Y axes has 20mm THK linear bearings and ball-screws. X and Y motors are NEMA 34 steppers. Spindle is water cooled 2KW 24KRPM. Meanwhile, the Z column is taken from my Sherline mill. The plan is to make the column the same way as the base: two 100mm steel beams with linear bearings, ball-screw and NEMA34 stepper. At this point I can reach jog speeds of 13000mm/min on the X axis.
