Working from Home: Blogging

As I have stated elsewhere, I had the great luck to become caught up with PCs just as they were emerging into our culture.  I am a junkie for information and I love regulation and structure, so I was addicted from the beginning.  I got compensated for satisfying these inclinations in my former career, so I became proficient at them.  However, I had a couple of other yearnings, as well:  I very much liked writing and design.  My employment with computers provided the tools to engage in these interests but I didn't have the time until I retired from my first career.  If you have the same interests that I do, you may want to contemplate blogging; it works for me!
"Blog" is a short form of the words "web log" that is a sort of diary that one produces on the Internet.  As soon as you spot the word "diary" you may think about clandestine journalism, but a blog is unquestionably not that; it can be any type of material that one communicates in a sequential fashion.  Your blog can be useful to visitors, or not.  On the other hand, if your purpose is to ultimately make money from the blog, you have to publish something that brings individuals to the blog site.  Making an income, of course, is what this blog is about:  work from home jobs.
Blogging differs from free-lance writing:
It is open-ended.  A blog typically pertains to a theme. Nonetheless, the "chapters" (or "posts") don't usually arrive at a long-term culmination, or ending.  Each column is a small, self-contained piece about the subject matter that starts and ends in itself.
It is "stream-of-consciousness" authoring.  You can leap from idea to idea like a Ferlinghetti poem if you like.  But, if you want to systematize your columns in some way before you begin, even better.  Lots of individuals will be attracted to the systematic handling of a subject.  Additionally, you can use the long-term outcome as the starting point for an actual "book," or similar traditional publication.
You can work without rigid goals  You can certainly inflict writing objectives and deadlines on yourself if you want, but you don't have to do so.  You can produce a post five days in a row or skip a month.  It is up to you. You decide.
There is no specific fiscal value attached to a blog article.  If you call yourself a "freelancer" you imply that you plan to be remunerated for a particular piece of work.  Bloggers seldom get remunerated for their writing straightforwardly. A few of them are able to charge a subscription fee for their blogs, but this is unusual.  As I stated before, it is feasible to assemble some of your posts into larger publications and propose them for sale, but there is no guarantee of profits.  Generally, however, you don't propose to "sell" a blog.  You can, however, sell promotional space on it.  That is what this blog is about: make money from home.
One of the major advantages of blogging as a prospective career is that it s very easy and economical to begin.  If you have access to a computer and an Internet link, and you can put a few readable paragraphs together, you can blog.
You can get started in blogging in many ways.  I suggest beginning with a free "hosted" blog in which more or less everything except the writing is done for you.  I'm selecting a system called "Blogger" to illustrate this tactic, but there are several others.
Blogger is a structure owned by Google and can be found at http://www.blogger.com.  The Blogger website will ask you to log in with your Google account identification.  If you do not have a Google account you will be given the chance to register for one. As soon as you are registered and logged in you will be creating your first article on a fully functioning blog site within a short time.  Now, start writing!
