Sam's Eurotrip #16: It's All Greek to Me - Athens (Part 2)

My time in Athens continues. I start at the Temple of Olympian Zeus. Not much is left of this structure that was at one time a huge 104 column temple but the few columns that are left still stand high above. From there, I continue on to the Acropolis, the home of the Parthenon, one of the best known structures in the world. If you don't know what it is then you better get the hell back to school! From the top of the Acropolis the entire city of Athens is visible, along with the hills in the distance. Next, I travel back down the Acropolis into the Agora and the Roman Forum, the ancient marketplaces of Athens. Not too far is the Plaka, an awesome place to have some lunch. And, let me tell you, I had an awesome lunch! Last but not least, the Olympic Stadium of 1896. Enjoy!
