Think Your Drinking Water is Safe? Check out This River Debris Near Loveland, Ohio

This video was recorded near the old historic section of Loveland, Ohio, very close to the Little Miami Scenic River Trail which runs close to the Little Miami River. I decided to take a short walk off the primary paved path to do some scouting around. I came upon this massive pile-up of trees, limbs and other debris which has been carried downstream by the river floodwaters over countless decades, and deposited in the piles you see after being caught and trapped by the trees and brush. While walking amidst the debris in the short segment in this video, I saw countless glass & plastic bottles, dozens of metal cans of all sorts, several tires, a couple drink coolers, a couple large cylindrical tanks and one water heater. And that is just what is visible on the surface! I'm sure that the metal cans I saw have long been empty, but no doubt some of the chemical residue inside at some point leaked into the water that carried it to its current resting spot. Now... how about a nice refreshing glass of tap water? Please keep this video in mind the next time you consider tossing a plastic or gass bottle in the trash (or anything else!). This video is NOT to imply that Loveland is a trashy dump. The town itself is actually tidy and well-kept. The video is just a way to make people aware of the enormous trash and pollution problem this country faces. Towards the end of the video, you'll see what appears to be a tall cement structure which looks like a bridge support of some type ...
