An overview of the Spine
The spine is a complex part of the body and can be divided into three main categories. The spine contains the bones that make up the spine, including discs. Secondly, there are neural elements contained in the spine, such as the spinal cord and nerve roots. The rest of the elements of the spine may be allocated to support the structures. These structures are the muscles, tendons and ligaments.
The spine> Column
Here we focus on the spine, resulting from the collection of bones in the back where the ribs in order to find a connection. The spine serves many purposes and functions. In view of its purpose in the spine itself, provides a basis for attachment of the spinal ligaments, tendons and muscles. Protects the spinal cord, nerve roots, and many internal organs, and provides the main structural support for the most part of your body, includingHead, shoulders and chest. Anatomy
The spine is composed of 32-34 individual vertebrae bones, which provides the foundation for the spine. These vertebrae are divided into five groups according to their location along the spine. Fromthe base of the skull, there are 7 cervical vertebrae, which make up the neck. Among these are 12 thoracic vertebrae, which is located in the upper back. Lower back (under the curve) is called out of 5 lumbar vertebrae. Located just below those, there is a group of 5 vertebrae most. These are connected together, or fused with the sacrum, which is a part of the basin to produce. At the bottom of the spine is the coccyx or tailbone. This consists of 3-5 fused vertebrae.
Eachsingle vortex is composed of different parts, and each has unique characteristics depending on the region, is in it. Each vertebra, regardless of location, has three core functional parts: the drum-shaped vertebral bodies designed to carry weight and resist the pressure or burden on the posterior (back) sheets, the lamina, stems and facet joints done, and the transverse processes, for the muscles.
